Patrice Lombardi was born
in Massachusetts, USA. She studied painting in Boston, Paris and
Florence, Italy.
Patrice's most recent paintings for
her second show at the Medici Gallery are the fresh result of her
latest investigation into the essence of objects. Objects mundane or
precious, are chosen for their personal significance and their
mystery. Lombardi follows in the tradition of European painting and
most of her work is in oils. Over the years she has worked with
Italian formal gardens, landscape, still life and object study as
well as portraiture.
Since 1985 she has held fifteen solo
exhibitions and participated in many group exhibition in London ,
Italy and the USA . Among her exhibitions are: Images of the Garden,
Villa Schifanoia, shown both in Florence and Boston (1985), Family
Portraits, Boston (1986), New England Landscapes shown on Martha's
Vineyard (1987), The Gardens of Vill I Tatti, exhibited in Florence,
Boston, and California (1990), Still Life Studies, London (1993)
Recent Paintings, London (1998), Objects in Light, London (2000).
New Paintings, London (2004) and Images from the Garden of Villa La
Pietra, Florence and London (2006).

Veeder, QC that was exhibited as part of a portraiture show at East
West Gallery, London (2001), Judge Stephen Schwebel, President of
the International Court of Justice, The Hague, Holland, (1998) and
Sir Charles Chadwyck-Healey Bt. Cambridge, England (1994).Since 1985
Since 2001 Lombardi has been Professor
of Painting for New York University in Florence.
The October/November show is a two-man
exhibition with her husband, the sculptor Richard W Boardman.
